Since its archeological discovery in the 15th century, the Apollo Belvedere has been considered as one of the world's greatest ancient sculptures. It epitomizes the ideals of aesthetic perfection.
This is a stunning bronze bust of the Apollo Belvedere, cast from a mold taken off the original Greek marble statue in the Vatican Museum. Apollo Belvedere is monumental in scale, standing a full 30½" (77 cm) high and weighing roughly 150 lbs (68 kg). It makes a big impression wherever it is placed.
We have cast the sculpture in our own California art foundry using 120 lbs. (55 kg) of pure bronze. It is finished with a classic bronze patina in tones of browns and amber. Each sculpture is individually stamped with its unique number in an edition limited to just 250 castings.
