This realistic bronze of a bison of the Wild West was sculpted by Carl Kauba (Austrian, 1865-1922). Never having seen such an animal proved to be no impediment to Kauba, as he created what is undoubtedly one of the finest depictions of an American Bison. We have cast Bison in our own California art foundry using pure bronze. The sculpture is finished with a classic patina in tones of browns and black. Mounted onto a green marble base, it stands 10" high by 11" wide, and is signed "Carl Kauba" in its bronze base.
