"Deux Chiens Bergers" by Louis Riché

 

This is one of our favorite bronze sculptures.  This sculpture of a classic beauty posing with her two Borzoi dogs by Louis Riché (French, 1827-1901) reflects the elegance of the period.  Please be sure to click on the "View More Images" link above to see additional views of this beautiful artwork.

We have cast Deux Chiens Bergers in our own California art foundry using 40 lbs. (18 kg) of pure bronze.  The sculpture is finished with a rich patina in tones of browns and amber.  Mounted onto a gorgeous marble base, the sculpture stands 20½" high by 23½" wide (52 cm high x 60 cm wide).  It is signed "L Riché 29" in its bronze base.
