This pair of detailed bronze bookends depict two seated pharaohs in full thematic regalia. They recall the Grand Tour souvenirs purchased by wealthy 19th century English visitors on their travels through Europe and Egypt. Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional views.
We have cast these bookends in our own California art foundry using 14 lbs. (6 kg) of pure bronze for each bookend. The bookends are finished with a patina in tones of burnished gold. Mounted onto marble bases, each bookend stands about 10" (25 cm) high.
