We have cast this fine depiction of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte after the original marble sculpture by Denis-Antoine Chaudet (French, 1763-1810)
Napoleon presented his sister Elisa Baciocchi with the principality of Lucca and Massa-Carrara from which Carrara marble was extracted. She ordered the Carrara workshops to carve multiple copies of this official portrait of the Emperor.  Over 1,200 marble versions of the bust were carved by the workshops between 1807 and 1809, one of which served as our original for this bronze casting.  Please click on any of the thumbnail images above to see additional views, and then click on any image to enlarge it.
We have cast Emperor Napoleon in our own California art foundry using 15 lbs. (6 kg) of pure bronze.  The sculpture is finished with a beautiful patina in tones of browns.  Mounted onto a black marble base, it stands 12½" high by 6" wide (32 cm high x 16 cm wide).  It carries the incised name "NAPOLE´ON" on the front side and we have added our Art Bronze foundry seal to the rear side.
This is a fine bronze sculpture, made to the highest standards.  We guarantee your satisfaction.
