"End of the Trail" by James E. Fraser
|
Item No: 122B
|
This iconic Western artwork was sculpted by James Earle Fraser (American, 1876-1953). The sculpture depicts the raw emotion of an Indian fighter with his horse, both exhausted after years of a losing battle to hold back White settlers and their army. They have truly reached the end of their trail. The horse stands on a rectangular rocky bronze base with nice detailing. Please be sure to click on the "View More Images" link above to see additional views of this sculpture.
We have cast End of the Trail in our own California art foundry using over 29 lbs. (13 kg) of pure bronze. The sculpture boasts excellent detail and is finished with a traditional bronze patina in tones of browns. Mounted onto a oval-shaped, black marble base, it stands 21" high by 15" wide (53 cm high x 38 cm wide). The sculpture is signed by Fraser in its bronze base.
This is truly an iconic work of art, made to the highest standards. It will last to be treasured by many future generations. We guarantee your satisfaction.
