"Woolly Chaps" by Frederic Remington

Woolly Chaps is a variation made by Frederic Remington to his most famous sculpture, The Broncho Buster.  The difference in the two sculptures is only in the texture of the leggings worn by the cowboy.  Please be sure to click on the "View More Images" link above to see additional views.

 

We have cast Woolly Chaps in our own California art foundry using 50 lbs. (22 kg) of pure bronze.  The sculpture is finished with a traditional Western patina in tones of browns and amber.  Mounted onto a black marble base, it stands 24½" (62 cm) high.  The sculpture bears the artist's signature in its bronze base and is also marked with its unique number in our edition limited to 500 total castings.
