"Moroccan Falconer" by Pierre-Jules Mêne

 

This classic bronze sculpture by famed animal sculptor Pierre-Jules Mene (French, 1810-1879) depicts the awe and joy of the falcon's owner after a successful hunt, with a captured hare laying at the Moroccan's feet. 

 

We have cast Moroccan Falconer in our own California art foundry using pure bronze.  The sculpture is finished with a traditional brown patina.  Mounted onto a green marble base, it stands 26.5" high by 10" wide, and is signed "P.J. MENE" in the bronze.
