"Nubian Lioness" by Rembrandt Bugatti

 

This is a gorgeous and powerful depiction of the female lion by the acknowledged master of animal sculpture, Rembrandt Bugatti.

 

We have cast Nubian Lioness in our own California art foundry using 25 lbs. (11 kg) of pure bronze.  The sculpture is finished with a gorgeous patina in tones of greens and browns that speak to the vintage feeling of this artwork.  Please be sure to click on the "View More Images" link above to see additional views of this sculpture.

Nubian Lioness is mounted onto a black marble base, and stands 11½" high by 17" wide (29 cm high x 43 cm wide).   It is from an edition limited to just 100 castings, and the individual number of each sculpture is stamped into the bronze.  The sculpture is signed "R Bugatti" in the bronze.
