"Leopard on the Lookout" by Rembrandt Bugatti

Rembrandt Bugatti (Italian/French, 1884-1916) is considered one of the greatest animal sculptors of all time, and is best known for his artworks of the large cats he studied at the Antwerp Zoo. This sculpture of a watchful leopard, with its serpentine line extending from its front paws to the end of its upraised tail, perfectly captures the big cat's elegance in Bugatti's impressionistic style.
We have cast Leopard on the Lookout in our own California art foundry using 15 lbs. (7 kg) of pure bronze. The sculpture is finished with a patina in tones of chocolate brown and amber that complements and highlights the dramatic surface texture of the artwork. Leopard on the Lookout is available in a limited edition of just 100 castings with the individual number of each sculpture is stamped into the bronze. Mounted onto a black marble base, it stands 10" high by 22" wide by 7" deep (25.5 cm high by 56 cm wide by 18 cm deep). The sculpture is signed "R Bugatti" and we have cast our foundry seal onto its bronze base.
