Lane sculpted this bust of Ronald Reagan shortly after he left the Presidency. When she presented the original clay sculpture to the President for his approval, he was so pleased with her work that he signed his name onto the back of the neck, beside the signature of the artist. This addition makes this sculpture a truly rare artwork.
We have cast this bust in our California art foundry using 17 lbs. of pure bronze. It is finished with a beautiful, contemporary patina in tones of browns, with subtle undertones of chalky yellows. Mounted onto a veined black marble base, the sculpture stands 16" high.
