This sculpture of a bear standing up on its hind legs on a naturalistic ground with tree trunks was sculpted by Nikolai Ivanovich Liberich (Russian, 1828-1883) to commemorate a memorable kill made by the Russian czar. Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional views.
We have cast Siberian Grizzly in our own California art foundry using pure bronze. The sculpture is finished with a classic patina in tones of brown. Mounted onto a custom-cut green marble base, it stands a full 22" high by 17" wide (55 cm high x 43 cm wide.) The artist's signature in Cyrillic is inscribed in its bronze base.
