This beautiful sculpture by Charles Robinson Sykes (English, 1878-1950) is the familiar symbol used as the radiator mascot on Rolls-Royce motorcars.  Sykes was commissioned in 1910 to create this bronze sculpture.  He took his inspiration from the splendor and fluidity of the Nike of Samothrace which he visited often in the Louvre Museum in Paris.  Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional views of this stunning artwork, and then click on any image to enlarge it.

We have cast Spirit of Ecstasy in our own California art foundry using 32 lbs. (14 kg) of pure solid bronze.  The bronze of the female figure is high-polished for a spectacular, light golden finish.  The bronze base is finished with a rich brown patina.  Mounted onto a black marble base, the entire sculpture stands 28" high by 12" wide by 16" deep (71 cm high x 30 cm wide x 41 cm deep).  The artist has signed "Charles Sykes" and "No. 28" in the bronze base next to the maiden's left foot.  The sculpture's bronze base also carries our Art Bronze foundry seal and is stamped with its unique casting number.

This is a fine sculpture that meets the standards of the automobiles for which it was designed.  We guarantee your satisfaction.
