This is a terrific depiction of the ideal Boy Scout sculpted by R. Tait McKenzie (Canadian/American, 1867-1938).  McKenzie, who was a good friend of Lord Baden-Powell who founded Scouting, is highly regarded for his depictions of athletes.
 
This sculpture depicts a young Scout in full uniform standing atop a pedestal upon which is written all of the virtues of the ideal Boy Scout.  Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional views, and then click on any image to enlarge it.
 
We have cast The Boy Scout in our own California art foundry using 14 lbs. of pure bronze.  The sculpture is finished with a classic bronze patina in tones of brown and amber.  It stands 16½" (41 cms) high.  The sculpture is signed "R. Tait McKenzie 1915" and we have cast our foundry seal into its bronze base.
