"The Happy Wanderer" by E.V. Blavier

This delightful scene of a young man in traditional Savoy costume, with a walking staff, his guitar and cloak behind him, was sculpted by Emile Victor Blavier (French, active 19th century). We have cast The Happy Wanderer in our own California art foundry using 30 lbs. (14 kg) of pure bronze. The sculpture is finished with a beautiful patina in tones of brown and amber. Mounted onto a black marble base, it stands 22" high by 8" wide (56 cm high x 21 cm wide). The sculpture is signed "E Blavier 1854" and we have cast our foundry seal into its bronze base.
