This bronze bust of Cheyenne chief Two Moons was sculptedf by James Earle Fraser (American, 1876-1953). Two Moons was a chief of the Cheyenne tribe and fought in the Battle of Little Bighorn. Two Moons was also one of 3 Native Americans used in composite by Fraser for his work on the Indian nickel. We have cast Two Moons in our own California art foundry using 21 lbs. (9.5 kg) of pure bronze. The sculpture is finished with a traditional Western patina in tones of browns. Mounted onto a black marble base, it stands 14½" high by 8" inches wide (36 cm high x 20 cm wide). The sculpture is signed by the artist and we have cast our foundry seal into the rear side of the bronze.
